1655496_gVrXiQwOXZKr5lc.gifShe had no idea where she was.

She could remember little about her journey here. The only memories that she could seem to uncover were fuzzy, and they scampered around in the shadowy corners of her mind.

Triumph. Touching the river. Washing away in the current.

That would certainly explain why she was there, her bright pelt sodden, shivers passing through her body. Her sapphire eyes were glazed with a thin gray sheen, and she felt weakness surge through her with every cold step. She was young - a kit, only a few months old.

"Hello?" she murmured, lacking the strength to yell. Water took all of her energy - she needed to get warm and dry. Fast. "Hello? Is anyone here?"

"Yay! Go Blaze! Go Blaze!" Sparkkit zipped around Spellpaw, her fur buzzing with electricity. A wide grin stretched across her maw, and her sapphire orbs glimmered with excitement. Originally, she was going to compete, but when she saw the apprentice cheering from the sidelines, she decided to take up a cheerleader role instead, so she could watch the game and cheer her head off. What could be better?

Shortly after Spellpaw asked her question did Sparkkit approach, bouncing on light paws. Her face held its usual happy expression: glittering eyes, perked up ears, and a huge smile, and her pelt radiated warm pink waves. "Hi Eee-the-real-paw!" the kit chirped as she hopped past Spellpaw to greet the other apprentice. As she did so, her large, feathery tail brushed the apprentice's tail, taking on a colorful smudge. "Ooo, pretty colors!" she murmured, all thoughts of the balloons escaping her mind as she began to chase her tail in circles.

Sparkkit bounded as Blazestar spoke, pink electricity radiating from her cream and ginger pelt. "Ooo, me! Me! Choose me!" she chirped to the leaded as she approached, a smile stretching across her maw. Weekly tasks seemed fun - well, some of them anyways. Who cared about battle training? But karaoke? Count her in! "Please choose me!"

Sparkkit never would've had enough patience to read a whole book on flowers crowns; she would have quit after a couple of pages. However, she was glad that Seph had, because the flower crowns he made were beautiful. They caused her grin to widen as she bounded forwards, past Blazestar and towards Seph. "Hi!" she chirped to him, unsure of what his name was but making no effort to find out. "Those are soo cool! Can I have one?" she inquired in a high-pitched voice, leaping in a circle around the other.

"Cool!" Sparkkit decreed, taking a quick glance at the arrangement. She didn't understand alcohol, but in truth, it wasn't the drinking that attracted her; it was the noise! The kitten absolutely loved noisy things, and this event seemed to be producing a mass amount of it. She should contribute, yeah? "Hi Blaze! Hi Spell! Hi Weird Guy!" she mewed loudly as she bounced up to the group, deciding on a nickname for Project. She'd never seen him before, and he looked really different from herself. "This is sooo LOUD!" she beamed.

"Hi Spell!" Sparkkit chirped as she bounded in, never completely stopping her movement. She trotted in swift circles around the scribe, her smile growing larger with every loop. "A carnival! Yay, yay! Spell made a carnival!" After making this statement, rather loudly, for her size, she rushed off to the events. This was going to be fun!

// Do you need more events? Because Sparky's got a pet caterpillar and a pet duckling that can do tricks for people. XP

Was Sparkkit's name Blaze? No, it wasn't. But she was there anyways, smiling and jumping. She jumped around Seph once before bounding in front of him, jumping up high to get level with his face because of her small size. "Yeah! You should make a festival! A festival!" The child stopped leaping then and raced off before chasing her tail a few tail-lengths away. She couldn't wait for Blaze's answer but wasn't going to stop playing to wait.

A small smile formed on the kitten's maw as Blazestar spoke, and she found herself running towards the leader. She pushed her small body against the leader's front legs, attempting to feel cozy or warm. "Okay!" she offered in response their statement, and she began to blabber - a stream of easy, cheerful words. "I'm Sparkkit! And I have electric stuff that fizzes, like salmon-y fish! But water kills it and so water took me here! Bad water. Bad. Oh, have you ever seen a goldfish? They're super cute 'cause they go glub glub glub but when I go glub glub glub my face goes like this. See how it's all poofy and stuff? But goldfishes have worser memories than me so I'm better, okay? Plus I have white toes! Want me to wiggle them? They're kinda muddy now but they're actually white underneath! You gotta believe me! Also, where are we going?"

Sparkkit puffed up her fur at Project's remark, a half-frown crossing her face before growing into a smile. "Don't worry!" she chirped, jumping a couple of times on her electric-charged paws. "Mommy always said I had good ears! See, they've got stripes on them! Plus they're big! And look, I can do this!" She proceeded to push her ears down, parallel to her head, and up again, like one might do as if they were about to growl. The gesture was so simple, hardly anyone would find it impressive, but she didn't care. "Tada!"

Sparkykid: Awesomely! I gotta sleep in the nursery!

Sparkykid: Plus, there was a big fat baby duck somewhere a couple days ago. I wanted to keep it but mommy said no.

    Sparkykid: She's no fun.

Sparkykid: What fun stuff did you do today?

"Aww!" Sparkkit exploded as she ran up to Seph, her eyes wide and glittering sapphire. A baby dragon? Adorable! "That's sooooo CUTE!" she mewed loudly, leaping up in an attempt to better view the scaly creature. "What's its name? Can I touch it? Where's it founded? Are you gonna keep it? Can I have it?" she continued to babble, in awe with Seph's discovery.

There is something special about love. Something that gives it the ability to nurture and nourish, to cure the weak and wounded, to heal the sick and spread that warm, cozy feeling. Something about it that no other thing possesses, something more valuable than gold but something that no thief would ever seek.

Sometimes, one needs to let go of love, to release a loved one or break a connection. But love is persistent. You kick it out the back door, it runs to the front and rings the bell. You don't answer it, it marches in through the doggy door or the vents or the crack on the side of the skylight in your sister's bathroom. Sometimes, you can never truly get rid of love.

Sparkkit had tried. She was delighted to have been found by StormClan; they were so kind to her, so sweet, so gentle. They treated her like a princess, gave her everything she ever wanted and more.

But she missed her family. Sure, they were poor and unstable, but they had loved her too. They'd relied on her to help them get through difficult times, and in turn, they helped her.

Laying on the bank of a river, she stared at her reflection, her gaze blurred with forming tears. Where was her family? Were they looking for her? Did they think that she was dead?

    Did they still love her?
